Hair cosmetic surgery transplant and micrograft

Introduction:
FUE or FUSS hair micrograft or transplant, are the only permanent treatment solutions of baldness or hair loss in men and women.

What are the motivations for a hair micrograft or transplant ?

75% of men and 25% of women are affected by hair loss.

For some, lose their hair is of major importance and can become a complex or severe discomfort.

Decreased self-confidence, fear of not seducing anymore, signs of ageing …cosmetic surgery can nowadays answer to this issue in a definitive way.

What are the objectives of cosmetic surgery ?

The objective of the intervention is a return of the volume of hair where they were missing.

Today, techniques and experience allow a natural and permanent result, without comparison to traditional "fields of leeks" or "doll hair".

The technique of precision hair transplant is also suitable for eyebrow transplants.

What are the techniques of surgery for baldness ?

A simple concept: take hair where there is some, and transplant it where it is missing.

The two revolutionary and definitive techniques are:
FUSS hair transplant: a strip of the scalp is removed.
FUE hair transplant: a strip is not removed but directly follicular units.

Hair transplant: FUSS (Follicular Unit Strip Surgery) technique

"Everlasting" called hair is removed from a strip of the scalp.

This one is then carefully cut into micrografts (follicular units) of 1, 2 or 3 hair) by specialized technicians who respect each bulb and allow an optimal regrowth of hair.

Cut grafts are then reimplanted on the bald area using microsurgical instruments or needles.

The number of micrografts varies from 500 to 2000 or 1500 to 5000 hair.

+ What is the type of anesthesia ?

Traditionally under local anesthesia, you feel no pain.

+ Where is the incision ?

The about ten cm strip of scalp is withdrawn by incision in an area where your hair ensures a good re-growth, usually at the back of the skull in the dermis of the neck.

And the Scar ?

A thin scar persists is covered by your hair.

+ How long is the surgery ?

It varies between 3 and 5 hours.

+ What are the postoperative courses ?

An edema of the forehead and eyelids (swelling) may appear whose size and duration may vary from one person to another, requiring stopping activities for 3 days.

Hair Transplant: FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique

"Everlasting" called hair is taken by unit and immediately transferred to the bald area.

Taking directly bulbs or single hair, this new technique does not leave scars as with the strips, but has the disadvantage of grafting a smaller number of hairs per session: between 1000 to 1500 hair.

This process is also more expensive and not suitable for every patient.

+ What is the type of anesthesia ?

Traditionally under local anesthesia, you feel no pain.

+ And the scar ?

There is none.

+ How long is the surgery ?

It generally lasts six hours.

+ What are the postoperative courses ?

The resumption of activities is immediate, without postoperative edema.

What is the expected result ?

Re-growth of hair after FUE or FUSS, can be noticed from the third month, and continues with a hair growth at a rate of 1cm/month.

Your concerns due to a lack of hair are definitively resolved.
